In 2023, PETCORE EUROPE approached KÖR to consolidate Functional Barrier testing results from laboratories across Europe.
What we discovered was a common industry issue: data arriving in various formats, measured by differing methods, and impossible to compare or rely on for regulatory submission.
Validation through the KÖR Round Robin
To uncover the root causes of inconsistency, KÖR conducted a large-scale Round Robin validation program, investing over €500,000 to test identical samples across numerous laboratories.
The outcome was clear: fragmented methods and manual data handling were the true barriers to trustworthy results.

Using these insights, KÖR developed the Unified Testing Framework, now the foundation of the KÖR-validated partner laboratory network and the benchmark for data integrity and comparability across Europe.
